Pulled Felt Hat

This hat was created from a pulling technique and was steamed with a felt hat base, utilizing a wooden hat form to achieve the shape. Adding the decorative folds and embroidery after shaping the hat gave the hat more dimension and interest.

Sinamay

This was made using wet forming techniques to achieve the shapes within the sinamay. Utilizing feathers helped to enhance the design.

Picnic Bonnett

This bonnet was made using a historic pattern and adjusting it to fit the needed measurements. Using buckram and millinery wire to hold the structure I was able to highlight the iconic shape. Adding ribbon flowers, faux fruit and beads created a historic bonnet.
