Set Crew Work
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)

This was my first experience working as a crew member. I became familiar with and used a variety of power tools. I became especially adept at using a jigsaw and a router. I was given the job of cutting out hidden doors and archways that brought a lot more character to the set.
I also served as part of the run crew and learned how the set design and construction impacted what happens backstage as actors used the doors and other sets that we had made.

Puffs
Summer 2020

Puffs was my first community theatre production. It taught me how to adapt and work with a new group of people who came from throughout the entire metropolitan area.
I lead the projects of making multiple platforms, constructing a set of steps across the stage. I was also in charge of painting the walls with designs to look like stones and mosaic patterns.
Two other things I learned during this show were flexibility and how to work with limited space and materials. Our original plan was to perform in a warehouse because of Covid-19.
The day before opening night, we were told we didn’t have the right permit and could not perform there. We relocated our entire show in one day and then opened four days later.
Thespians State Conference:
Bonnie and Clyde
I created and brought a scale model scenic design for the musical Bonnie and Clyde to the Ohio Thespians State Conference. My design was set in the time period when Bonnie and Clyde lived and was made so it could be easily adjusted for all of the scenes.
